Medical Insurance Plan
- Varonis will pay 100% of the cost of the cover for you (the employee).
- The gross annual cost per employee is €1,526 before applicable tax credits (note: cost as at March 2017 and subject to change).
- The gross cost paid by Varonis will be taxable in your hands as a benefit-in-kind (i.e. subject to PAYE, PRSI and USC in the same manner as salary). You can claim a personal tax credit on this cost by contacting Revenue.
- You can add your spouse/live-in partner/children to the plan, with the additional cost deducted from your net salary (net of the applicable tax credits).
- The insurance provider is Irish Life Health and the plan name is “Be Fit 3”.
- You can enrol in the plan anytime from day 1 onwards.
Pension Plan
- Varonis provides a cost-effective pension plan, in order to help you to save for your retirement in a tax-efficient manner.
- You can join the plan as and from the month that immediately follows the month in which your first 90 days of employment has been completed.
- Varonis will make a matching employer contribution to the plan, as follows:
- Varonis contributions to match employee contributions up to 3% of base salary
- Additional Varonis contributions at a level of 50% of employee contributions between 3% and 5% of base salary (i.e. the maximum Varonis contribution is 4% of base salary)
- Your contributions will be deducted at source from your gross pay, and the applicable tax relief at 20% or 40% (tax rates as at March 2017) will be applied by reducing the tax deducted from your pay.
- The pension plan is a group Occupational Pension Scheme provided by New Ireland Assurance – a leading pension plan provider.
- New Ireland provides access to a range of low, medium and high risk investment funds from global and specialist investment managers.
Death-In-Service Cover
- Varonis covers the cost for death-in-service cover of 4 times base salary, which would be paid as a lump sum to your beneficiaries in the event of your death.
- Employees are automatically covered from day 1 (in certain cases a medical questionnaire may be required – Simon Shirley Advisors will contact you if this is the case).
Cycle 2 Work
The Cycle 2 Work scheme provides the opportunity to pay for a bike through payroll deductions from gross pay, resulting in tax savings.
- Eligibility All employees are able to join the Cycle 2 Work scheme after 3 months of joining Varonis.
- Cost to You -You can choose a bicycle and cycling safety equipment between the value of 100 EUR and 1000 EUR.
Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
The Varonis employee stock purchase plan (ESPP) allows employees the opportunity to become company shareholders at a discount and to have a personal stake in the long-term success of Varonis.
Varonis has selected Morgan Stanley to support our ESPP, and they are providing a dedicated support team as well as their StockPlan Connect website.

Charity Matching
The Company will match (dollar for dollar or a 1:1 ratio) contributions up to a maximum of $100 per full-time employee per calendar year as budget allows
If the donor makes several contributions, gifts will be matched in the order received, up to the maximum annual donor limit for the calendar year.
To make a matching request:
- Forward your donation receipt to dl-hr@varonis.com for approval
- Once approved, HR will send you via DocuSign the Varonis Matching Gifts Form to fill out
- Once the form is processed, the matching gift will be scheduled for payment in the next distribution process.
Volunteer Time Off - VTO
All full-time employees are eligible to participate in this program after six (6) months from date-of-hire.
To make a VTO Request:
- An employee must submit a VTO request to HR for review of eligibility before then submitting such request to his/her supervisor.
- Once approved by HR, employees can submit VTO time off approval similar to the procedure of a regular time off (PTO) request, noting the name of the organization in the request.
